Naka followed her orders, a bit nervous. The poisons she had worked with were all known, with an antidote. This was different. The blue liquid was something she had never seen before, so how did she know what kind of effects it would have? Naka poured the rest of the poison into the beaker, and set the now empty vial away, waiting for Phoenix to return.

Phoenix came back after a few minutes with a number of different leaves and herbs. she set them to the side and smiled slightly at Naka's job. She shifted a couple more items around then sat, rubbing her head. "Thank you....for helping Naka..." _________________ The imagination is a powerful tool, it can tint parts of the past, shade happenings in the present, or paint a future so vivid that it can entice...or terrify, all depends on how we conduct ourselves today ~Unknown author

"You're welcome. And thanks for helping me with my poison." She grinned and examined the symbols. This type of medic jutsu wasn't one that she was particularly good at...

Phoenix smiled a bit as she looked to the symbols and she rubbed her arm. "I use a lot of different things compared to normal medical actions...a lot of these things are my own design" she said quietly, watching the disks as the beakers stayed on small heating plates. _________________ The imagination is a powerful tool, it can tint parts of the past, shade happenings in the present, or paint a future so vivid that it can entice...or terrify, all depends on how we conduct ourselves today ~Unknown author

"I see...What do you test the poison on? Do you have a guinea pig for them?" The guinea pig was a phrase. Naka tested all of the poisons on herself, since it was unfair to ask her baby brother or best friend to risk their lives for knowledge. Naka looked at the herbs and items Phoenix had brought from the other room. "Hm..."

Phoenix smiled a bit and shook her head. "I use myself or a clone...and the glass boxes show something before I do..." She stated quietly, looking to the first glass box then took out a layer of it. The thick material having turned a mix of red and green. "This tells me some herbs that might help..." _________________ The imagination is a powerful tool, it can tint parts of the past, shade happenings in the present, or paint a future so vivid that it can entice...or terrify, all depends on how we conduct ourselves today ~Unknown author

"Okay! Let's start, then!" Adrenaline pumped through her veins, and Naka couldn't help but feel jitterish. Her hands were slightly shaking, and her face was lit up with excitement. "This poison was made by an A-ranked missing nin, so I'm sure I wouldn't have figured it out by myself! Thank you for the help, Phoenix-san."

Phoenix smiled faintly, she gently shook her head the thanks and set the colored glass down. There were other colors, though a lot of them were dulled. The two shades of red and green were the most prominent mainly. Phoenix picked up a white bag, taking out a small white leaf which she set in a small bowl. She handed Naka another white bag absently as she looked through the others. "Just get one leaf out and cut the edge before you put it in the bowl" she said absently. _________________ The imagination is a powerful tool, it can tint parts of the past, shade happenings in the present, or paint a future so vivid that it can entice...or terrify, all depends on how we conduct ourselves today ~Unknown author

Naka nodded and cut the edge. She put it into the white bowl, her eyes glancing over all the equipment Phoenix had. Compared to these, her surgical tools paled. She smiled with a new determination. When she grew up, she'd become a great medic nin and find out every single poison! ...and find a master as well. Naka continued observing the things used for advanced medic jutsu; it was very exciting for her to see something new.

Phoenix was content to help. She hadn't much to do besides her work in the infirmary as so many ninja needed help most of the time. She took a couple seconds to add in a few things before she stood and dipped a metal drop into the beaker of Naka's poison. Her other hand seemed to only twitch as she did a hand sign, making a clone of hers appear beside her. _________________ The imagination is a powerful tool, it can tint parts of the past, shade happenings in the present, or paint a future so vivid that it can entice...or terrify, all depends on how we conduct ourselves today ~Unknown author

A Phoenix clone appeared and Naka could guess what she was for. Naka gulped and looked back at the poison. It was bad enough seeing one person die because of it, but two? She sighed and mentally scolded herself. It was just a clone, no worries...

Phoenix glanced slightly to Naka and softly rubbed her head. She looked back to the clone and pierced its cheek, lightly dabbing the poison in before putting it away. The clone twitched but otherwise seemed to take the pain. It copied the strength of the real Phoenix, the eyes showed pain after awhile but the body remained rigid and firm. The real Phoenix mixing the herbs and a special liquid she had gone for a second to get. She slipped into a needle, gently shaking the liquid then looked to her clone who had looked down after awhile, the chest rising and falling a bit quicker. _________________ The imagination is a powerful tool, it can tint parts of the past, shade happenings in the present, or paint a future so vivid that it can entice...or terrify, all depends on how we conduct ourselves today ~Unknown author

Naka saw Phoenix's clone react to the poison. The first time she saw it, her master had hidden all the pain, though she sensed his high heartbeat. She looked away from the clone, unwilling to see any more, and continued observing the poison.

Phoenix didn't get mad at her or think she would have even tried to watch in the first place. She just faintly put a hand to her shoulder then turned back to the clone. She softly pushed the needle into her neck, her other hand going to check her pulse as she watched for any reaction to the test antidote. _________________ The imagination is a powerful tool, it can tint parts of the past, shade happenings in the present, or paint a future so vivid that it can entice...or terrify, all depends on how we conduct ourselves today ~Unknown author

Naka tensed when Phoenix touched her. Then she relaxed. It was being tested on a clone, not a real person...Naka sneaked a peek at the clone, wanting to see the reaction.
