Clan Leader: Mononoke Harly (micaela)

Bio: After their founding village was distoryed, then surviving members of the Mononoke Clan scattered over the five nations, diluting the clan's blood. However, the members have begun to resettle into their previous traditions.

The Clan is very secluded and set in its traditions, being founded more than eight hundred years ago, originally. The clan is split into a Main Branch (refered to as Yuma) and Four Side Branches. The Yuma is responsible for producing a male heir every generation to carry on the main branch's legacy and uphold the clan's traditions. If a female heir is born, they cast aside into one of the Side Branches. The Current head has abolished this rule, having become the first female clan leader.

The Five Mononoke Branches are as follows:

Byakko (Tiger of Earth) = The first side branch worships the earth spirit, and specialises in earthstyle bows and arrows. The have the ability to morph plants or earth into bows and arrows and also have earth jutsu that strength their archery.

This side branch of the clan dresses in brown and greens, and usually has longer hair that's pulled back in a single braid. Their skin is on the darker side, having tanned from spending so much time outside.

Genbu (Tortoise of Water) = The second side branch worships the water spirit and specialises in waterstyle bows and arrows. The have the ability to make ice bow and arrow sets. They can also preform a jutsu that allows a member from this side branch to freeze the blood of an enemy once they have pierced their enemy with an arrow. To use this, however, the arrow must have hit an artery.

This side branch of the clan dresses in different shades of darker blues, and greenish-blues, and usually has really short hair that's cut rugged and unevenly. Their skin has a whitish tint to it, but isn't pale. They tend to be better swimmers, and can hold their breath underwater a little longer than normal.

Seiryu (Dragon of Wind) = The third side branch worships the wind spirit and specialises in windstyle bow and arrows. This is the smallest side branch, since windstyle is hard to master. They can make bows and arrows out of clouds, and if an enemy gets hit with a clowd arrow, they'll be electricuted with the arrowhead.

This side branch of the clan dresses in white, silver and very light blues. They usually have longer, lighter brown coloured hair with bangs pushed off to one side of their faces. They tend to like cooler temperate and jump farther than any of the other branches from the clan. They often fude with the Suzuku branch.

Suzaku (Phoenix of Fire) = The fourth side branch worships the fire spirit and specialises in firestyle bow and arrows. As the largester side branch, this ground tends to get all the Yuma cast asides. They often use fire proof bows and arrows, and can light their arrowhead on fire, as well as shape a bow out of flames.

This branch of the clan dresses in golden yellows, bright oranges and different shades of red, excluding blood red. They tend to like high temperatures, and have long, wild hair that is tinted red. These members tend to have shorter temperatures, and many layers of callouses on their palms, from handling fire.

Many of the Suzaku branch members are piromaniacs, and a little on the homisidal side. The often fude with the Seiryu branch.

Shikon Amaterasu (Four Souls of Sun Goddess) = The Yuma (head archers) of the Mononoke Clan who worships the sun goddess Amaterasu. They're most advanged archers of the clan, the ones who keep the peace between Suzaku and Seiryu, and upholds the clans tradition.

They have senority over the other branches and have the strongest abilities when it comes to the clan's kekki genkai, however, because of this, they're also only a handful of members. Many Yuma members go crazy, and end up killing themselves from the pain their kekki genkai causes.

The Yuma possess a more extensive knowledge of poisions, archery, and taijustu, then the other archer types of the clan. They have medium skill levels in all the side branch abilities, as well as hidden abilities of their own.

Yuma dresses in snow white, blood red, and coal black. They are very formal when they talk. Their hair is usually curly, or at least wavy, and very, very long. It's usually left out long, but can be worn in the style of any of the side types clans. Their skin in very pale, and they often appear with black circles under their eyes from a lack of sleep, caused by the kekki genkai.

Each clan member has a tatoo around their left arm. It's of a snake and rose coiled together around their wrist and down their arm to their shoulder. This brands them as a Mononoke, and is a sceal. If any member gets out of hand, this allows them to be killed instantly by the Clan Head.

Kunoichi born into the Mononoke Clan follow a barbaric tradition. If they ever give birth to a son, the mother goes crazy, kills the baby and eat his heart. The cause of this problem occurs with the woman's red blood cells, a side effect of their kekki genkai. Because of this, most sons are seperated from their mothers until they are fully grown. This is why female clan leaders were avoided in the past.

Abilities: The Mononoke Clan specialises in Archery and have some of the most advanced bowmen and bow women in the world. The Yuma also uses and advanced poison on their arrowheads. All member have extensive knowledge of poisions, how to use them, develop them, and how to make antidotes.

The members also tend to lean towards Taijutsu and stay away from Genjutsu, since their kekki genkai puts a large strain on their minds and makes Genjutsu hard for them to use.

Mononoke use weight band training from a young age, adding more weight to their load as they advance. This allows them to handle bigger and heavier bows, along with other weapons they may specialise in, like halbards, battle axes, or other swords. They usually start this training at five years of age, though the Yuma start as young as three.

Kekkei Genkai: Their bloodline limit allows their clan members communicate with other creates via mind message, and have a limited ability to read other people's minds. This is can be very hard on their mental health, however, and has led many members to be driven insane. Those who have been are killed instantly by the Yuma, since they become a threat to the other clan members.

The powers of this bloodline limit often vary from one Clan member to the next, especially within the last two generations. Along with mind reading, other members have begun to develop addition abilities. Some of these addition abilities include the ability to levitate inadament objects for a short while, and inhabiting newly dead bodies for a short amount of time. However, those who possess one of these abilities have to be careful with how they use it, because it causes a lot of pressure on their minds, and make their heads to explode.

A physical traite of the Mononoke kekki genkai is the members' royal blue eyes. These eyes are a dominate trait, so any descendant of the clan will have these blue eyes.

This kekki genkai often plagues its users with terrible nightmares, and because of that, they hardly sleep, and can appear physically weak and tired at times.

Physical Traits: All Mononoke women are very petit, while the men tend to vary in size. All clan members have royal blue eyes, and most have brown hair, with a few exceptions.
