The girl known as Phoenix collapsed to a her knees, a kunai made of ice pierced through her forehead. Or more, a clone of her collapsed then melded into a puddle of water on the training grounds. Another clone leaped over that one, this one had fiery red eyes as to show a fire clone. The real one raised her bare hands in a taijutsu stance. Seeming to wait then almost danced away elegantly, back-flipping and grazing its side with her bare feet. The clone swung around, winging a drop kick onto her face. She blocked it with a thin, muscled arm, her kimono sleeve slipping faintly to show badly scarred skin. It only took a second, and a knee up to the clones jaw before it hissed and disappeared with a small fiery breath.

Naka was following a yellow butterfly around, trying not to frighten it. She stumbled on a tree root and fell forward. Luckily, she landed in a bush. She got up and wiped off the dirt and muck from her clothes. Naka walked around again, searching for the little butterfly. She turned a corner and found Phoenix finishing her training.

Naka smiled and walked over to her, waving happily. "Hello, Phoenix-san!"

Phoenix was straightening her kimono before Naka came up. She looked up as Naka turned the corner and blinked slowly. Her face softened from hardened and she coughed, rubbing a cut on her cheek but gave her a half smile, waving back slowly then rested her arms at her sides.

"Phoenix-san, let's train! I haven't seen you fight yet." Naka skipped the rest of the way to her and hugged Phoenix as a greeting.

Phoenix blinked at the hug, obviously not used to it at all. She hesitantly hugged back briefly with one arm then rubbed her head. "What...do you want to train with?"

Naka let go of Phoenix and fumbled with the straps of her leather hilt. "Swords! Let's train Kenjutsu!" The knots came loose and she unsheathed her sword. It was huge, bigger than herself, and looked as heavy as it was big. Naka gripped the handle with both hands, though it looked too heavy for her.

Phoenix smiled a bit and nodded. Her head tilted at the blade, but she didn't seem surprised. She simply brought out a scroll and did a small hand sign, a sword at least six feet in length appearing beside her. Her hand caught a black and gold handle and she lifted it with ease. It took the shape of a large fang and the blade itself was an opal white. It was at least three or four inches thick near the bottom, and the tip was curved towards the ground. It was definitely bigger then herself, but she held hers with ease.

Naka lunged at Phoenix, swinging the sword like a bat. The sword wasn't as heavy as it looked, it's original mass eaten away by the ancestors. Its weight was equivalent of a baby girl, and Naka was thankful of this. She hadn't much strength but she did have sufficient endurance. The black metal cut the air like a hot knife through butter, and Naka had to be careful not to get cut by its double edges.

Phoenix seemed to wait then blocked with her own blade in quick notions. Her own blade was amazingly heavy. Actually made by the fang of a demon, though unknown unless she revealed it. She pushed at her blade lightly then swung it away and flipped to the side elegantly. Her blade spinning before the tip rained towards her in a white blur.

Naka's attack was blocked easily as she took a few steps back. 'Well, duh, it's not gonna be that easy. She's a Chuunin!' said a masculine voice in her head. Naka nodded and ran forward again, this time a kunai hidden in her pocket.

Phoenix's lip twitched briefly in a smile and she front-flipped over her, the blade taken out of its rain to block her face and chest. She landed and spun around sharply, the blades aimed at her back.

Naka's sheath wrapped around her body, so that her torso was covered in thick leather. This was one of the good things about her family; think two steps forward. She felt the blade hit her back, cutting through the first dozen layers. Naka shot two kunai behind her, aiming at Phoenix's chest, and two shuriken at her feet.

The main reason it didn't cut through fully was because Phoenix had slowed it then jumped back, the shuriken digging into the ground and the kunai slapping off the edge of her blade. She smiled as she spun her sword once, the tip brushing the ground and she darted forward, a powerful agility that she still tried to build everyday. She vanished before she came in reach of Naka though, appearing behind and swing the blade around to her front.

"Gah!" Naka's chest was slightly cut, but thankfully it wasn't deep enough for blood flow. She had jumped back, getting ready to counter-attack Phoenix when the target changed stance and appeared on her other side. The sheath wrapped very tightly around the cut area, squeezing it shut. She let out a deep breath, concentrating the chakra around the opened skin. There was a hot, prickly feeling as it closed up, turning into a pinkish line. Naka ran at Phoenix again, but pulled back at the last moment.

Phoenix calmly watched as she had stepped back, taking a defensive position. She shifted as Naka jumped back, smiling and shifted the massive blade in wait.
